Precision Builders were first approach by Alex and Beth in late 2017 to discuss a new build project they wanted help and advice with. The first stage was to look at the drawings to get a better idea of the clients brief for the new home. We discussed that they wanted spacious open living, plenty of natural light and a front entrance with attitude.
The front of the property was designed to fit some old oak doors from a church which they bought on eBay.
Work started in 2018 and wasn't without its challenges. The first job was to knock down the existing ugly house to make way for a much needed family home to be built. As bats were seen on the property, before any demolition work could begin we had to have a visit from The Bat Conservation Trust. Luckily the bats had already moved on and a few days later we could get started.
The foundation work moved pretty quick and all the wind posts and steels were fitted as to the structural calculations.
The roof is one of our favourite features of this project. We love massive attic trusses and love seeing them arrive in parts before they are bolted together to form an impressive structure. In fact the truss manufactures said it was the biggest they have ever manufactured in 35 years trading.
It’s great now to see the property finished and Alex, Beth and the family are now settled and enjoying their dream.
